Welcome To Horspath Wine.Club
The HWC is fast becoming one of the most popular groups in the Horspath village area. With around 50 members, the club meets most months at ‘The Hub’ in Horspath between 7.30pm-9.30pm to taste 6-7 different wines and/or spirits, hosted by a member or an external expert. (See Tasting Dates)
The wines are chosen by that evening's host and the themes are chosen by the full group. We also enjoy cheese & biscuits or other nibbles at each tasting.

Wines of Washington State Come explore wines from America's most exciting wine region, Washington state. Extreme terrain, wild weather, own rootstock, exceptional vine material, diverse varietals and massive diurnal shifts all contribute to the making of interesting and delicious wines. From Columbia Gorge to Walla Walla with a stop in Red Mountain, we will drink our way from from the Cascades to the Blue Mountains, West to East from Seattle to the border of Idaho, a unique directional journey and making the wines distinctively from Washington. Friday, 17th May
Rhône Valley Wines With a history dating back thousands of years, the Rhône Valley region of France is home to an abundance of ancient Roman history and architecture. Most notably is the Arles, Roman and Romanesque Monuments, a grouping of eight historic monuments that earned UNESCO World Heritage status in the 1980s. Yet, Southern France's Rhône Valley is most recognised the world over for its production of high-quality red, white, and rosé wines. Established during the last Ice Age, the unique landscape that makes up the highly regarded region was formed when the Rhône Glacier carved its way south through France to create the Rhône River. At this tasting we will compare and contrast some of these luscious wines. |
The timing of each tasting is set so that those from outside Horspath village can get the No.46 bus, which stops just a few yards from the Hub. We have an increasing number of members regularly travelling from either direction.

Our December tasting was a Christmas special. And what fun it was, focused on tasting and comparing some amazing Champagne's and Sparkling Wines.
What a great tasting we had in February 2023. Below are the wines we tried. Lots of fun and pictures and some great wines.
